This course consists of 3 modules:

Module 1: Understanding Dementia

This first module aims to ensure a better understanding of dementia among healthcare professionals focusing on understanding the causes and symptoms.

Module 2: Managing Dementia

The second module aims to empower you on managing dementia from a patient and carer perspective. In particular, this module helps you to understand dementia-related behaviour in depth and develop strategies to minimise the impact on family and professional carers effectively.

Module 3: Dementia Care in Healthcare Settings

The third module aims to increase awareness about nursing care and the relevant skills required to interact with people with dementia. Also, it identifies and explores the principles of person-centred care. Last but not least, this module helps you to compare-contrast dementia with the condition of delirium and depression.
