Teaching material is constantly reviewed and updated in line with UK national and international guidelines and initiatives ensuring the PTP remains relevant, comprehensive, and informed.
The course contains 2 modules with 14 chapters in total. Each module can be taken separately. It also has a Competency Assessment Tool, Training Simulator, and Assessment Simulator.

Achieve 80% in the competency assessments at the end of each chapter
Successfully complete 5 Assessment Simulator scenarios within 6 months of being added to the program.

4. Competency Assessment Tool

With each chapter there is a corresponding assessment with individual feedback to identify areas of recommended re-learning.

5.Training Simulator

It is a database of over a thousand real-world cases with a full range of normal and abnormal outcomes. It offers users the chance to review these cases and practice their skills of physiological CTG interpretation to decide, blind to outcome, how the cases should be managed. The PTP Simulator enables the user to work through a case with feedback given at each step of their interpretation and management.

6.Assessment Simulator

The PTP Assessment Simulator allows the user to manage a randomly assigned case in 30 mins; once completed, individual feedback is provided allowing the user to fully assess their core knowledge and understanding to improve skills.
